Summer 2017 Weather Camps
Looking for a fun science camp this summer? We will have an opportunity for your student to learn about a variety of weather topics, including flooding, thunderstorms, tornadoes and more! Plus, we’ll explore these topics in depth with hands-on experiments and demonstrations. Your student will be able to ask questions and dive deeper into a science we experience every day. Here are a few of the topics we’ll cover.
-Learn to draw your own weather map
-Science of rain drops
-What causes thunder?
-Explore ways to measure air pressure
-Make our own tornado
-Closer look at how doppler radar works
WHEN: Camp 1, Ages 7-10, June 5th-June 8th from 2-4pm
Camp 2, Ages 10+, June 26th-June 29th from 2-4pm
Camp 3, Ages 7-10, July 10th-13th from 2-4pm
Camp 4, Ages 10+, July 17th-20th from 2-4pm
COST: $40 per student, $35 for additional students from same family. Parents (or grandparents) are not required to stay, but are certainly welcome to stay for class, whatever works best for your child and family.
